So it’s been a little while since I’ve updated all of my bliggity blogs. This weekend should prove productive – I’ll have tons of Dembrography updates as well as the big ole scoopity scoop on the Fiesta Movement (since a bunch of you are definitely wondering – next stop Orem, Utah). In the meantime, here’s a question to ponder…
If the Spetznaz could (can still?) throw axes while backflipping over barbed wire did we really win the Cold War?
Backflipping Spetsnaz Badassery
In the interest of full disclosure, I have no idea where that picture is from – my friend Nicolas showed it to me on the googles – it’s tagged with the word Spetsnaz so I’ll take it. If anyone knows the true origin of the photo sound off below!
This Weekend @ Dembrography: Las Vegas and Photographic Medley
It’s about time that I caught up on some serious Dembrography photoblog action. So this week we’ll be rocking out a weeks worth of photos each day – hang on to your hats!
This weekend two series have been making their debut, “The Real Las Vegas” (which is a little NSFW so no image here) and some more “Photographic Medley”:
I was surfing fellow Fiesta Agent Kyle Libra’s blog yesterday and found this video of the worlds largest cheeto being eaten over the worlds most expensive keyboard. How did I miss this? Seriously.
Anyways here’s Kyle’s Fiesta Movement Profile page – he’s rocking it out in Indianapolis – you should check him out. And if you haven’t seen MY Fiesta Movement Profile page, you can check it out here.
A few months ago I acted in a fun little piece for the Milwaukee Adworkers – Conigs just posted it to Vimeo in all of it’s HD glory. To truly experience you should go over to Vimeo and watch it all big like.
Last summer I had the luxury of going for a ride in the amazing electric Tesla Roadster. It’s an all electric sports car. All electric means instant torque. Instant torque means… holy crap! My adventure in the passenger seat was for a short two minute documentary I directed on the car and one of it’s owners, Stefano. Check it out:
It’s a pretty sweet ride, the only drawback being that costs over $100,000. That’s half of the worth of my house. Sheesh! Not to worry though, Tesla is coming out with a more affordable model. Likened to the BMW 5-series, the “Model S” will be available sometime in 2011 with a pricetag of about half of that of the Roadster. That’s right kiddies – only $50k. That’s still a hell of a lot for a car, and still fairly out of my price range…and the price ranges of most of the people I know. But it IS accessible – and it’s definitely a step in the right direction. Who knows, maybe in 2011 my financial picture will be a little different – an all electric car is something that I’m definitely willing to stretch the pocketbook for. Or, even better, this premium technology and price point will be used to push an economy/everyman’s electric car agenda. I can definitely get behind that.
Tesla won’t be unveiling the Model S until March 26th, but here’s an “upskirt” photo to whet your appetite – it looks hot:
Tesla's "Model S"
Well, I think it will look hot. The potential is definitely there! What do you think?
This Week @ Dembrography: The iPhone as a Legitimate Photography Device
This week over at Dembrography is a series of images taken exclusively with the iPhone. As we use and carry multipurpose mobile devices with us at all times there is a greater chance of capturing impactful images. For more iPhone images (and to see the effect of having an always connected device) check out my “iPhone Live” site that updates whenever I upload an image to flickr via email from my phone.
