I’m going to Utah!

That’s right!  Dannon and I are heading to Utah to visit Blendtec (and maybe make a visit to the Bonneville Salt Flats).  Make sure to follow me on Twitter and subscribe to my videos on the Youtubes – we’ll be updating them both frequently!  Unless there’s no internet or cell coverage along the way…then we won’t.  You will be sad.

In Soviet Russia Axe FLIPS YOU!

So it’s been a little while since I’ve updated all of my bliggity blogs.  This weekend should prove productive – I’ll have tons of Dembrography updates as well as the big ole scoopity scoop on the Fiesta Movement (since a bunch of you are definitely wondering – next stop Orem, Utah).  In the meantime, here’s a question to ponder…

If the Spetznaz could (can still?) throw axes while backflipping over barbed wire did we really win the Cold War?

In the interest of full disclosure, I have no idea where that picture is from – my friend Nicolas showed it to me on the googles – it’s tagged with the word Spetsnaz so I’ll take it.  If anyone knows the true origin of the photo sound off below!

BREAKING: Person Pulled from Milwaukee River UPDATED x3

Rescuers Pull a Person from the Milwaukee River on May 1st

So if you’ve been following my Twitter feed there’s been some rather dramatic ongoings recently.  A person was just rescued from the Milwaukee River by MFD and MPD.  No one I spoke to on the scene saw the person enter the water.  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal has linked to some of my photos, and I’m adding some cropped in closer shots below.  No word as to whether or not the victim is OK as of 1:40PM.  I’ll try to update this page with any additional information, of course the Journal Sentinel will also have up to date information.

UPDATE:  The Journal Sentinel is now reporting that the person was a 23 year old man who was running from the police when he jumped into the Milwaukee River.  He has been pronounced dead.  Here’s the story.

UPDATE 2: The Journal Sentinel wrote a short blog post about my citizen journalism through the use of Twitter.  You can check it out here.

UPDATE 3:  The final bit of information regarding the strange series of events is here.

Scratch one off my Bucket List: Car vs. Wall of Cardboard Boxes

So I’m back! – Last week was crazy at work and also crazy working on this:

I hope you like it!  I recruited my friend and colleague Dannon to help me answer the question – what happens when you drive a car through a wall of cardboard boxes at 40+ MPH?  The answer, as you saw, was pure awesomeness!  It’s our entry into the Ford Fiesta Movement.  Ford is letting bloggers, vloggers, and Twitter Addicts get their hands on the new Ford Fiesta for 6 months – all we have to do in trade is blog and vlog and tweet our experiences.  Being a non-”car guy” car guy (I begged to shoot the Tesla Video) I had to give this one a try.

We need your help too!  If you like the video, and would love to learn more about the new Ford Fiesta through the eyes of Dembro and Dannon, you can make a difference!  Watch the Video!  Rate it! Comment on it! Send it to your friends!  Send it to your parents!  Send it to your congressman or congresswoman!  Thanks in advance for your support.

Dembroriffic will be updated as frequently as possible this week, but I’m going….GASP…. off the grid for a seminar in Las Vegas (seriously, they drive you out into the desert!).  I’m not sure what I’m going to do without constant internet!  I’ll update as frequently as possible, but we’ll be back up and running next Monday!

Rescue Twit11

It was only a matter of time.  I feel like I type that a lot in this blog…but that’s because the shape of everything is changing.  The game changed significantly recently when David Prager, of Revision3 fame, tweeted and streamed his encounter with a drunken hobo that had broken into his house.  Nevermind calling 911.  Just tweet it – everything will be ok.  I’m actually suprised no one on twitter called the police for him.  Hit the link for the full scoop, as well as a YouTube version of his harrowing event.

Personally, I wouldn’t mess around, I would have called the cops first and then tweeted.  Just saying.
