I guarantee that this week will be a high traffic week over at Dembrography. That’s of course because I’m advertising FREE NUDES! I’m sorry if you are/were expecting the sexy type. These ladies are sexy – but in a tragic anthropomorphized way.
I found them this summer, trying to sell themselves, on Water St. in Milwaukee. As I took their portraits a woman walked up to me and asked me what I was doing, the tone in her voice was stern. She was judging me. “I think this is one of the more interesting things I’ve seen this week, ” is all that I could reply, “I think they’re beautiful.”
“But they’re naked…and you’re taking photos of them..”
“Yes”
“You know what that makes you look like right?”
“A photographer?”
She looked at me blankly for a moment and then said, “They are beautiful.” I captured my last frame, wished her goodbye and went to my car. Moments later, as I drove by, the woman had her camera out – she looked like a photographer.
